Journey Outline
Cochin - Munnar. After breakfast transfer to Munnar (140 Kms/ 04 hrs) the lovely hill station, filled with - tea plantations and misty mountains. The drive to Munnar is very scenic crossing the narrow hair – pin roads where you see beautiful valleys, tea garden sand small waterfalls on the way. Vallera & Kallar waterfalls. Sightseeing includes Pothenmedu viewpoint. Check into hotel.
After breakfast proceed to Munnar, on the way visit tea and spice plantations, Cheeyappara waterfalls, view point etc. Arrive Munnar and check in your hotel. Rest of the day free for your own activities. Mattupetty Dam, Echo point, Kundela dam, Rajamalai – where we have ERAVIKULAM National Park, you could find NILGIRI THAR, an endangered species, Tea Museum. Overnight at hotel in Munnar.
After breakfast, proceed to Thekkady. Transfer to hotel & relax. Afternoon - Proceed for sightseeing –The Periyar wildlife sanctuary is thick ever green forest, declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. You can also do things in Thekkady like - Boat cruises on the Periyar Lake, visit cardamom, pepper, tea & coffee plantation. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey, check into houseboat, and enjoy & -experience the full day back water life. Cruise will cover the canals & village area also. Lunch, evening tea, dinner & breakfast will be serving at houseboat. The food is authentic kerala cuisine. Overnight stay at Hotel.
On to Kovalam. After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Kovalam (05hrs approx). After checking in and freshening up, you can head out to bask in some sun and play with the waves. Kovalam is a collection of many different beaches, like the Main Beach, Hawa Beach, etc. offering many different experiences. The beaches are crescent shaped with coconut grooves on the shore and mossy rocks extending to the sea.
After your breakfast the next day, start your journey to -Kanyakumari. Visit the famous Kanyakumari Temple and listen to the many intriguing tales surrounding it. There are other temples around too, which you can pay a visit to. You can next head for the mesmerizing Kanyakumari Beach, which is a meeting point of three seas and is famous for its sunsets and moonrises. To visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, the place where Swami Vivekananda meditated and attained enlightenment, take a ferry ride. The calmness of the place is bound to have a positive effect on you. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Today you will be transferred to Trivandrum International Airport in time to connect for your flight to Home.
